Hunters have long been attracted to the Strandja Mountains, the Eastern Stara Planina Mountains and the Sakar Mountains. Modern hunting grounds have been established in recent years with state of the art facilities - feeding troughs, shooting sheds, shooting boxes and hunting lodges.
Accommodation is available in special purpose facilities within the hunting grounds. Route guides, transport and food can be hired during the hunting and angling season. Trophy hunters have the opportunity to bag stags, fallow deer, wild boar, jackals, hare and fowl. Trophies in recent years outmatch those in other European countries.

The hunting grounds and their facilities have been used with success for photo tourism and different forms of ecological tourism, especially in the summer months. The elite hunting grounds of Ropotamo, Ticha, Bourgas, Kolkhida, Sredets, Yambol and Sliven are listed in European hunting maps and in tour operators’ catalogues.
The keen angler will always be drawn to Bourgas, a region rich in accessible lakes, rivers, brooks and dams. For the sea angler, there is always the Black Sea.

Recreation areas designed for family holidays that combine boating and angling, can be found at the dams of Zhrebchevo near Nova Zagora, Kamchia, Ovcharitsa and Malko Sharkovo in the region of Yambol. River fishing is excellent in the Kamchia, Toundja, Ropotamo, Veleka and their tributaries, which attract amateur and professional anglers.
On the coast, picturesque rocky bays and crystal clear seawater, rich in water flora and fauna, attract divers and scuba divers and provide a fisherman’s paradise.
