The main tourist attraction in Dobrich is the restored old town and the clock tower located close to the central square. The complex evoking the atmosphere of a shopping street in a town of the Bulgarian National Revival Period includes 16 workshops where visitors can watch master craftsmen at work using old ingenious methods of making earthenware, copper, gold, fur and leather goods, knitwear and others.

The idea to restore the complex was inspired by the fact that as early as the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century Dobrich drew like magnet a large colony of industrious craftsmen from Kotel and Targovishte areas. Even today their workshops continue to produce and sell everything that craftsmen can make: clothes and shoes, accessories, copper and earthenware for the kitchen, dairy and bakery products.
